This is my 3rd time attending the Texas Cigar Festival put on by Serious Cigars. I smoked 5 or 6 stogies during the event and had a great time talking to all the cigar vendors as well as my good friends.

Sams Boat – Clear Lake
Last Saturday my oldest daughter, Amanda, invited us out for a family dinner down in Webster, Texas. I mentioned to Punkie that we should head down early and drop by Sam Boat off Clear Lake and enjoy a few beers before dinner. She thought that was a great idea and I also decide to have our son meet us there. I had another reason in mind, I wanted to smoke a stogie before dinner, hehehe
We arrived and found a table over looking the water without any wait. My son, Aaron, arrived and we were able to enjoy our cigars. He lit up an Alec Bradley Connecticut and I went for the American. Both are great smokes but I really enjoyed just spending time together and sharing a common passion!

Alec Bradley – Prensado
Last Friday night I tried for the first time the Prensado by Alec Bradley. It was a stogie I’ve had in my humidor for almost a year so I was sure it would be a good one. I got settled on our patio with Spotify “Cocktail” channel playing through our outdoor speakers. Punkie and I sat outside and enjoyed a great evening.
The Prensado was a very good smoke and I may end up buying a box. The only thing I could find wrong was the draw was a little tight. Perhaps a couple of passes with an auger might be needed.

Twin Peaks with Kevin
Rhonda and I made a trip to see our youngest daughter, Ashley, and future son-in-law Kevin who also likes a good cigar! The place to meet up was Twin Peaks in Webster, Texas for some good food and cold beer! Oh and nice stogies too!
Throughout the afternoon I smoked a Alec Bradley Black Market, H Upmann Sun Grown, and a Rocky Patel Zen. I gave Kevin a Black Market and My Uzi Weights a Ton which he really enjoyed. The weather was nice and it was a great way to spend an afternoon!

Alec Bradley Connecticut
We went back to TGIF Friday’s in Katy, TX and I was able to enjoy a new stogie, the Alec Bradley Connecticut. While I’m a big fan of the Alec Bradley brands this is not my most favorite. Don’t get me wrong, it was a great smoke, but I just prefer the Black Markets or American currently.
At any rate is was a great evening to sit at the bar and light up a good cigar!
Here I am relaxing at the TGI Friday in Katy, TX by the Katy Mills mall.
I’m smoking an H. Upmann sun grown robusto. I recently picked up a 5 pack of these cigars and they are quickly becoming a favorite on my list.
Oh and for those of you who don’t know me, my wife Rhonda has a nickname – Punkie. I sometimes give her nickname a little twist and call her Punker.
